Unfortunately at the elite level, patience, long-term strategy and sustainability is absent methodology or simply fails to compute. Commercialisation from state ownership, global tv rights explosion and financial fair play manipulation has turned the beautiful game into Fantasy Football.

Rossoneri and others have displayed how clubs can compete on and off-the-field. Football has no perfect fool proof system therefore clubs will have to adapt, evolve and adopt a blueprint of patience, long-term strategy and sustainability. If Fantasy Football continues to persist, the long-term future of the beautiful game will be truly precarious.
