THIRD PICK IN 2021 NFL DRAFT, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS SELECT TREY LANCE

The 49ers are quietly preparing for the upcoming season whilst routine offseason noise and premature speculation is on fire with self-proclaimed experts proclaiming self-proclaimed sources and self-proclaimed facts. Having an opinion is one thing but passing premature judgement is playing with fire and you know, fire can bring the heat and burn.

Have the naysayers watched the preseason and regular season games Trey started and or featured or did you just watch the highlights? Did you attend rookie minicamp, organized team activities and training camp? The game-tape and practice footage will show a rookie in operation with nerves, ups and downs and more nerves, typical rookie experiences. The tape also clearly shows progression, talent and potential.

Why only Trey Lance, care to share your takes on the other rookie quarterbacks from the draft class? Why do you continue to forgo the positives and focus purely on the negative and completely ignore positive feedback from Trey’s current, past team-mates, coaches and local media who actually cover San Francisco? Why is your narrative completely the opposite in comparison to local reporters and analysts whom most have observed Trey up-close and not thousands of miles in separation?

Individuals passing judgement based on hearsay, lazy research and poor analysis. Are we seeing elements of ego, jealousy and spite at play? I hope not because the seeds were sown, scorned and burned with pick number three. Let it go, exercise some patience and move on. I have faith and trust in the selection, management and the process, go Niners go!
