The business of the offseason has decimated the Niners depth chart. The defense needs re-building schematically from the ground up, starting with the foundation which lies squarely in the trenches. The coaching staff are under pressure to hit the ground running with home run selections to extend the current window for the quest for six.

DAY ONE – 1 PICK

The powers that be addressed the defensive line in major fashion with the selection of Mykel Williams. The ceiling is truly endless for the 20-year-old sensation who displays the ability to effortlessly move around the defensive line. The popular knock on the kid is the lack of numbers along with a lack of pass rush repertoire. However, the game tape will indicate Mykel is dangerously disruptive and has to be accounted for. The opportunity to study Nick Bosa and competing against Trent Williams will be a boon for the both the rookie and the future hall of famers.
